Infrastructure Masterplan

Surah Qamar, Ayat 49The purpose of this project is to take an overview of all of the schools physical assets in terms of school buildings and properties and to devise a medium to long-term plan as to how those assets can be enhanced and added to in a way which best serves the school and its stakeholders. The ultimate end product of this exercise will be a comprehensive masterplan showing exactly how it will be proposed to develop the school over the next 10 – 20 years
The project is broken down into a series milestones starting with an early phase of discovery (survey of existing buildings and site, clients workshops for brief development etc) followed by a second phase of crystallising the things found during the discovery phase into a set of clear goals. And then a third phase where those goals are formulated into a set of tangible proposals which can form the basis of the Masterplan report.
This Masterplan is going to shape our schools future for the next 15 – 20 years
1. Baseline - Detailed Survey and Drawings of al current infrastructure
2. Discovery - Questionnaires, Stakeholder Workshops, Focus Groups
3. Define - Documented set of design principles and requirements as determined from the Discovery stage that will guide the design stage
4. Design - A set of plans of the sites and existing and new proposed buildings on each campus and a clear proposal as to what phases these projects should be rolled out on with a costed Capital
The report will include a written summary of all of the steps taken and drawn 2 and 3D representations of the finished design, with proposed phasing plans. It will also include cost estimates for all interventions whether ongoing work to existing buildings or new building projects or renovation projects – depending on what the process leads to.
